The Table Tennis Club was started about three years ago by members of the village hall committee, in order primarily to raise funds for the hall, as it is a charitable organisation. We were given, very kindly two tables to start with, and now we have five. It’s a very good evening out, either to just socialise, or play
some good table tennis. We cater for all grades of players, from Maidstone and District league players to people who have never held a table tennis bat before, the more experienced players are always willing to help with techniques and advice to players new to the game.
We don’t charge for the first week you join, you may not enjoy it, but I’m sure you will, there after it is £2 a week, no obligation to come every week, just as you feel like it. We open the hall just before 8pm to set up the tables, and play until 10pm.
From a humble beginning of 3 or 4 players, we now have about 16 on our books, we have some really good “doubles” matches most weeks, with a really good mixed of ages, abilities both male and female. What else would you do on a wet and cold Wednesday evening? Come and join us and start to play, improve your game or just to keep fit.
Table tennis starts at 8pm until 10pm every Wednesday
New members first week free, then £2 a week thereafter...
